Imagine walking along the shore, coming up to an old shipyard, and finding a cymbal behind some old rope that has been splashed by the sea water for decades. The cymbal is dry and focused, but in a way that is full of life with many stories to tell to anyone willing to listen. That is the Maritime Series in a nutshell. This series is the culmination of everything I have loved about cymbals since I started learning. The SFCC Voice embodied!
The Goal of the Series
The Maritime Series is made to harness the super dry and articulate sound that many people are looking for, without sacrificing playability, volume, crashability, and all the other factors that make a cymbal usable in all different scenarios. The larger bell gives volume and pitch, the overhammering gives a present stick sound, and the bottom lathe lines and rivets give the perfect amount of shimmer to complete the sonic profile. The days of dry cymbals leaning too far in the dry direction and being unplayable are over!
